When discussing modern Dutch house and techno, one of the first names you ascribe to the success of the genres is Joris Voorn. The hardboiled techno sound that is prominent in the Dutch underground is tempered by Voorn’s love of art, architecture and genres – he meanders through melodic house that borders on the ambient, before deftly manouvering back to the subterranean primal sounds he is most famous for.
This April, Joris Voorn heads to Centrals London’s dance music hotspot, HERE at Outernet. Presenting his first ever live show in the capital, this is an essential date in the diary for fans of the revered Dutch artist.
An integral part of the Netherlands’ rich dance music scene and history, Joris has built a reputation as one of the most reliable and influential figures in the game, producing a vast number of iconic tracks and performing the world over for 20+ years.
Incredibly, he’s never taken his formidable live show to London, but this all changes on 12th April, as he joins forces with one of London’s best new venues for an audiovisual masterclass. Hidden deep underground the Tottenham Court Road area, HERE is armed with unique visual capabilities and state-of-the-art sound quality – it’s the perfect place for this monumental event.
